Report an Absence

We have an absence alert system in operation at Brookwood School. Should your child be unable to attend school, please call or email to report the absence or late arrival.

If your child is absent or late, and you have not called or emailed, you will receive an automated phone and email message at 9:25am (for morning absences) and/or 1:20pm (for afternoon absences). Please reply to this message and contact the school to confirm the absence.

Call 780-962-3942 and press 1 to leave a message.

Please include the following information in the phone call:

Your child’s full name & class or teacher
When your child will be absent or late
The reason for the absence or late
When your child is expected to return to school

Email Absence Reporting

Email Brookwood.Absence@psd.ca to report your child absent.

Emails must be submitted before 8:30am on the day of the absence. We are unable to access emails after 8:30am.

Please include the following information in the email:

Your child’s full name & class or teacher
When your child will be absent or late
The reason for the absence or late
When your child is expected to return to school
